Morning! I hope your day is off to a pleasant start.
I have to share something which occurred yesterday without really going into detail. Suffice it to say, I was standing in faith and fasting for something which I strongly needed to transpire in my life. I was on Cloud 9 all day, relying on God, praying throughout the day, and confidently walking in faith that He was hearing my prayers and was providing sustenance for my soul as my hunger pangs sounded deep within. As we should, I carried my hunger without anyone knowing I was fasting. I was doing it full of joy and faith.
Lo and behold, isn't it just like the devil to step in and try to squash your faith? The exact thing I was praying for, in a manner of speaking, was taken from me the very same evening. It happened in two incidents, one before I left work and the other when I got home. For a split second ... for the tiniest amount of time ... Satan almost won the battle. In that very instant, I came within a hair of losing my faith and declaring that fasting was not as powerful as the scriptures proclaim and I wasted my day. BUT, I knew within that this was most definitely not the case. For me to remain in that frame of mind would have been to give the victory to Satan, and I refused to do this. I have done it too many times in my life. Therefore, I am still walking in faith knowing with confidence that Jesus heard my prayers yesterday ... He is working in mighty ways in my life ... He is fulfilling the desires of my heart (the same desires He put there) ... He is leading and guiding me ... He is rising me up because I am the head and not the tail ... I am the lender and not the borrower! I have the same power within me that Jesus used to raise the dead, the same power Jesus used to heal the sick. With power as this, how could I be anything but good? I hope you are good today too!
Trip to Tennessee with my boys was great. We had so much fun. We did not have enough time to do all we wanted to do, but we did a lot in those short 3 days. I came home with lots of wonderful memories and beautiful pictures.
Have to run but I sure hope you have a blessed day. Keep your eyes upon Jesus and all will be well despite how things appear in the natural!
