Morning, Peeps! What a crisp morning! I am loving this Fall weather. I actually cut the heat on last night. I came home from church and it felt as if I were walking into a freezer. A bit much for me, but I will take these temperatures over 90+ temperatures any day!
Wanted to share a bit before I head off to work this morning! I have been in sort of a funk lately. You know how life will kick you in the gut sometimes ... unexpectedly ... and it knocks the breath out of you. Well, life kicked me in the gut and I have remained bent over instead of rising back up. Well, with each new day is a new dawn loaded with promises and hope. Today is my new dawn. Nothing miraculous in and of itself, but each new dawn is a blessing from God saying that no matter what happened in your yesterdays, today is new and fresh. It is a blank canvas waiting for you to start painting what you choose it to be. Today, for me, I want sunshine and a new awareness of His love and protection over me. This is my choice for today ... what will yours be?
Awhile back I was sharing small poems from a book my mother bought me in 1978. I have not posted one for awhile, so let's start our day with this:
Serenity
Let nothing disturb thee,
Nothing affright thee;
All things are passing;
God never changeth;
Patient endurance
Attaineth to all things.
Who God possesseth
In nothing is wanting:
Alone God sufficeth. (St. Teresa of Avila)
God blessed me twice this weekend. I needed His presence and His love and He sent me two people to give me just what I needed. Never doubt His love. Cry out to Him, and you will find Him. I thank Him for my two angels this weekend. One showed up at my home and one came to me via Facebook. One was very out of the norm but much needed. The other I had been thinking about for personal reasons, and then, lo and behold, she texted me. She does not know how priceless her message was.
Love you all and have a truly blessed day! Start it with Him, and you cannot help but be blessed.
