How was your Thanksgiving? Ours was nice. It was different, but nice! I did not have all my family with me as usual, but I had my children and most of my grandchildren. As for my big 'family', we are having a Holiday Dinner on the 10th of December. This way we all could be home with our loved ones, in our own homes, for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is not what our norm has been in years past, but with grandchildren popping up on the scenes these days, it is what works best. My 2 sisters and two of my nephews did come by on Thanksgiving morning to visit. I so enjoyed them coming!
I remember so many Thanksgivings at my mom's. You cannot help but think of your parents and your lost loved ones during this time of year. I am no different. My heart misses them so much, but I find my joy in the memories. I have many of those and they bring a smile to my face though my heart is heavy.
Went to visit with my daughter the day after Thanksgiving. We had an enjoyable time as always. They took me to the movies and out to dinner. Then, when we returned home, we watched another movie.
11/29/2016: As you can see, I did not get to finish my blog yesterday morning. I simply ran out of time.
Had a really nice visit with my brother on Saturday. My two sisters met me and we all had a good time. Family is so important to me. I would have a family dinner every weekend if I could
Well today is another new beginning for me. I do not want to say much more than that except that I am pretty excited. I have struggled with something for so very long and today could be my first day towards victory. If successful ... when successful ... it will alter so many things for me. All good! I have mixed emotions at the onset, but I am hopeful now in a way I have never been before. I will share my progress as we move forward. Prayer would be nice!
My Mary Kay business is moving along. I so enjoy what I am doing. It opens many doors for me, and the extra income is great. I have set goals for myself for the upcoming new year. My new venture, which I mentioned above, will also enhance my self-confidence with my business. I have some things that hold me back from really moving forward with Mary Kay, and I know that the doors which my new journey will open will also enhance my business opportunities with Mary Kay. It is all a step of confidence, but more so it is about walking in faith. I have found out many things about Mary Kay which are all good. I know if I had a young daughter today, I would encourage her greatly to give being a consultant a try. I see so many young women who have been so successful in their business. It is both exciting and encouraging. I so want to open this door to young women whom I come into contact with. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I wish I had been introduced to Mary Kay many years ago. Mary Kay is also great for women my age, or women of any age. It is just that the younger you are, the more years you have to enjoy the business and reap the rewards, which are many.
I have to run and get ready for work. I pray you all have a truly blessed day. I will keep you posted on my new venture and my success.
